Our Easter weekend consisted of some fun family memories of making Easte Resurrection Cookies and Dying Easter Eggs. As you go through the steps of making the resurrection cookies you tell the story of Christ at his death and resurrection. Both of them really like helping in the kithcen and had a blast helping make the cookies. Brayden understand the true meaning behind Easter and could follow along as I shared with him about Christ's life as we made the cookies. Bransen listened intently.
Our egg dying experience made for some great memories. Josh had wanted to make deviled eggs for our company the following day so I had boiled a dozen eggs for the boys to dye and then he had gotten out the second dozen eggs to start boiling while we were dying the eggs. Some how we ended up getting our two sets of eggs mixed up and ended up with a few dyed eggs that were not boiled. So funny and great memories!! Bransen ended up cracking pretty much every egg he touched. It became a joke as to if it would be a boiled or not boiled egg. What a mess we made but what fun memories!
The boys as they used wooden spoons to break the pecans that would go in our resurrection cookies. This was of course their favorite part, next to licking the bowl.
Eyeing those cookies - look at their smiles and white mouths.
Ooohh Bransen says
Putting tape on the oven to seal it shut until Easter morning. This represents the tomb being sealed shut on Good Friday.
This is what we use our egg dying kit for, eye spectacles.
Taking the egg dying very serious.
