Brayden's Blurbs

Brayden is a little boy full of words these days. He is a talker! He picks up on new words every day and if very good at repeating what he hears. He is such a smart little guy and impresses me every day with his intelligence. Here are a few stories of his blurbs these days.

Our church does an excellent job of teaching kids the Bible, for this I am thankful! Brayden has been coming home for quite some time being able to retell the Bible story he has learned. He remembers little details and usually gets it right on. Here recently he has been coming home reciting Bible verses. Here are two of his most recent that can still recite back. Nothing better than hearing scripture from the mouths of sweet children.

Phil 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ.

Psalm 139:14 - I am wonderfully made.

He is also into story telling and I mean some stories. He has a large imagination. His stories alot of times come after you tell him a story. He seems to like to one up you by making up something similar to your story but subsitutes it with his own version of animal or place. For example, I said "look at the lizzard I got to hold while I was in Mexico on the beach". And he says, "When I was in California on the desert I saw a camel and got to ride him". Sometimes I am not sure how to reply.

He is very good with numbers. One day he heard me give my phone number over the phone a couple times. I got off the phone and he says " My phone numbe is --- --- ----" exactly my number, I was shocked. He also has about half of the Nascar drivers numbers and colors of car memorized. He might take after his dad and be a number man.

Love this little guy and thankful for the blurbs he shares with us each day that puts a smile on our face and makes me ask for more and more wisdom from the Lord to know how to parent him.
