Since Brayden has been having to have quite a bit of dental work done and has done so excellent with it, I decided to surprise him with a trip to the zoo. It was my first time to take the boys all by myself but was very pleased with how well they both did. They are both such animal lovers! They stand in awe at most all the animals and want to move very quickly from spot to spot. Bransen was strapped in the stroller for most of the trip and Brayden does great with staying nearby. The weather was quite a bit cooler the morning we went which made it really nice. We had a wonderful morning and picnic lunch at the St Louis Zoo!
Look at those fake smiles!
Have you ever seen an anteater in person??
Can you imagine coming across one of these in the wild?
The big Rhino
Or one of these in Africa?
The Hyenas
And the baby elephants gave us a show, playing in the water hole.
This is when Bransen decided we were a little too close for comfort and demanded it was time to go.
Petting the stingrays
The train ride is still one of Bransen's favorites. He loves trains, choo choo, he says.
A little camel family
This was the massive lion that put on a show for us. Not sure what was going on but he kept pacing the floor. Then he came a little closer to us and began roaring really loud. It was just like you see on the Animal Planet, very cool to see in person. I caught part of it on camera but Bransen began getting scared and his screaming Momma was a little too loud for the roar.
The boys ready to go home. They both got to pick out a surprise from the gift shop which I never let them do. A very special fun trip with my boys to the zoo!
