Psalm 127:3 - Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.
Mother's Day is such a special day to reflect on being a mother and on my mother and the other mother like figures I have in my life. I am thankful God has blessed me with two precious boys that give me the title of mom, this is a gift. Now that I am a mom I have so much more of an appreciation for my mom and all the other moms. I now realize all that is involved with being a mom and am so thankful for all my mom did to help make me the person I am today. Being a mother is such a reward but the most challenging thing I have ever done. When I read Proverbs 31 and see all that is involved with the Virtuous Woman I think about a mother and all that there is to do. Mothering is a Challenging Occupation to say the least but as Jean Stockdale reminds her students a Holy Occupation! I'm thankful I get to take part in this Holy Occupation and pray that each day I strive to be more and more like the virtuous woman and the mother God intends for me to be.

Brayden's "My Mom" Survey from MDO. I love seeing these questions from his eyes, so funny! We have laughed and laughed over his answers and then cried as I read the last one.
