In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

Like Father Like Son

What can I say, my sons are picking up on their father's hobbies. Like Father, Like Son. And as I think about that I also remind Josh that little eyes are constantly watching him. They admire him so much and really do want to be like him, not a bad thing. So Josh has 2 major hobbies - Hunting and NasCar. My boys right now love to enjoy both of these with him. I am looking forward to years to come where they can really go and enjoy both of these with him and momma gets to have some girl time. But for now, we Hunt via the Wii and we watch NasCar on TV (lots of it) and they LOVE doing both of these.

A Trip to Chuck E Cheese

Monday the boys did not have their MDO due to President's Day. I told Josh it would be fun if he could take off a little early we could meet him at one of the boys favorite places, Chuck E Cheese. They love this place! And one of the TV channels they like to watch frequently has commercials about it and they have been asking  to go. They ran non-stop from game to game with the rest of the crowd (didn't really think about everyone else being out of school too). Good thing Josh was with me, hard to keep up with both of them.

Special Blue Chairs

For Christmas this year the boys received blue recliner chairs from Grandpa and Grandma Bynum. They only got to see and sit in their chairs for a couple hours before we loaded up and got on the road. Unfortunately these chairs had no way of fitting into our vehicle piled with luggage and gifts. The boys had forgotten about the chairs until the delivery came this past week. The chairs made it from TX to MO and the boys LOVE their special blue chairs. They have both sat in them faithfully since they got here a week ago. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for their special chairs.

Valentine's Family Dinner

This year for Valentine's Day we decided to start a new tradition, a family dinner. I set our dining room table complete with roses, balloons and candles. Our dinner consisted of a few of our favorites: Josh - steak/baked potato and asparagus, Brayden - shrimp and I Love You Marshmellows, Bransen - corn on the cob and mac/cheese and I Love You Marshmellows, and made chocolate covered strawberries for all. We discussed over dinner reasons why we love each other and that our love ultimately comes from God's love for us. The boys started their meals with the marshmellows which I was fine with, quickly consumed their food and were off and playing while Josh and I enjoyed our candlelight dinner. We ended it with a couple of little gifts and a Valentine's Book explaining the reason behind Valentine's Day. Such a fun tradition we all enjoyed! I look forward to doing it again in the years to come.

Valentine's Photo Shoot

I had a little photo shoot last week while the sun was shining before the snow got here, to try to get one good photo of my 2 Little Valentine's. Always more challenging than I expect. We did get 1 picture we could give, and that took us playing peek a boo but whatever it takes. Here is the one good one along with a few of the many many others I took of my 2 silly and active little Valentine's.

Tub Time with Daddy

I am always so thankful for those nights that Josh comes home from work and takes over! This was one of those nights. I think he knew from the minute he walked in and saw me that the boys were all his. He took over after dinner and decided tub time would be fun time in our Jacuzzi Bath. The boys loved it! And after a long 5 minutes I think he was done. I heard the fun and ran to grab a few pictures and they were down to just bubbles in the tub due to their wild nature which was leading to water and bubbles EVERYWHERE and way too much slipping and sliding. Here are the few shots I got that don't reveal too much privacy.
