In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

Lake Time

While I got to spend some time with the ladies at Marlie's get together, my mom and Aunt Janis stayed with the boys at the lake. They had a great time chasing after and entertaining the boys but think they were both glad they had each other for help. These 2 keep you on your toes nonstop. Thank you Mom and Janis for your help! I also got to spend a couple days enjoying my favorite Lake LBJ. Always a good get away to refresh and soak up the sun.

Celebrating Marlie's Last Few Single Days

Last weekend 15 ladies gathered to celebrate Marlie's last few days being single. We had a wonderful weekend in New Braunfels. We had a nice lingerie shower for her

one night and the next day floated the Comal river. It was quite an experience to keep up with 15 ladies on the river along with all our tubes (and my 7 month pregnant sister). We had so much fun and learned the tricks of tube floating the first float so we decided to go a second round. It was great to be away for a few days with my sister's, several cousins, and some of Marlie's friends spending time with Miss Black soon to be Mrs. Lujan.

The 15 ladies, what a fun group!

Headed out to float the river.

Seth was allowed to visit via video as we listened to him answer several questions about he and Marlie. It was neat to hear his perspective on some things and see how closely his answers matched up with Marlie. Some answers were so sweet it brought tears to her eyes.

Marlie very excited about her lingerie from Tori and Sherri (Seth's mom and sister).

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend together as a family. Josh had been out of town all week so we were all ready to see each other and hang out over a long weekend. Saturday morning we decided to make a trip to the zoo, one of the perks of living in the city. The morning of our zoo visit was slightly drizzly and about 70. A perfect morning at the zoo, not too many people and the animals were probably the most active I have ever seen. We all had a great time! On Memorial Day we enjoyed a boat parade held at Lake St. Louis followed by local custard treats. We also had fun staying cool in our new frog pool and on our Cars Slip and Slide.

Family of elephants. The baby was about to put on a show for us.

Playing in the water, it actually shot water out of its trunk, very cool to see.

Love it! They all spotted a beautiful butterfly

Watching the sharks

Brayden was excited to see the hippos because last time we were at the zoo the tank was empty while they repaired a leak.

My Boys, Love them!!

The Black Rhino, would hate to meet up with one of these in the wild.

Strawberry Picking

The boys and I went with our moms group to a local field for strawberry picking. What a fun thing to do! Both not only enjoyed picking a few strawberries but eating them straight off the plant. Bransen very quickly discovered he was familiar with this fruit and spent most of his time eating. Brayden had fun picking. We took our box of strawberries home and after picking through the half eaten and not ripe ones were able to make a strawberry pie, yummy!!
