Halloween Happenings

Last Sunday the town we live in, Wentzville, had their annual Halloween Happenings which is like a Halloween Carnival for families with children ages 2-10. They had kid games to play where they could win candy, clowns creating balloon animals and Bounce Houses. We went with our friends the Bollman's and had a great afternoon of family fun. Brayden would get in his serious mode as he completed each game but had a fun time. His favorite were the Bounce Houses. Bransen was a little tired but was content riding in his stroller watching all the action.

Driving to the Halloween Carnival - Brayden really liked his costume and insisted on wearing it in the car even thought it was 70 outside.

Fall Fun at Eckert's Orchard

Saturday our family decided we wanted to enjoy the beautiful Fall weather and take a day trip to Eckert's Orchard to pick our own pumpkins and apples. Eckert's Farm located in Grafton, IL, is a pick your own orchard that has strawberries, blackberries, peaches, apples and pumpkins depending on the season. We were able to take a ferry across the river from Missouri to Illinois. The drive to the orchard was beautiful with all the trees changing colors and rolling hills of farmland. While at Eckert's we picked Fugi and Granny Smith apples along with our own pumpkins from the pumpkin patch. Brayden enjoyed a kids play area with tire swings, goats to pet, a playground area, camels to pet and ride, pony's to ride (but mom and dad forgot cash to pay for the ride, oops that was fun to explain). We enjoyed lunch outdoors while listening to live music and Bransen ate and got choked on his first french fries. A Fantastic Fun Filled Family Fall Outing!

Nothing better than a Fugi Apple straight off the tree

Daniel's Farm

Our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group decided to meet up at Daniel's Farm for some Fall fun. The kids all had a wonderful time at the petting zoo, in the hay maze, playing in the corn box, riding tractors, sliding, swinging, riding the pony train and running around. We had a great time enjoying the Fall swith some friends. I was able to get a pretty good brother shot! Brotherly Love
